How it works

1. One new word a day

   Every day there is one new 6-letter word, the same for everyone. It is always a Minecraft or Loadd word, like a block, an item, a mob, a biome, an enchantment or something from the server. A new one starts at midnight UTC.

2. You get 2 guesses

   Type a real 6-letter word and press Enter. Any real English word counts as a guess, not only Minecraft ones. After 2 guesses, the game is over for the day.

3. What the colours mean

   Each letter also gets a mark, so you can play without telling the colours apart.

   CANDID

   • green the letter is in the word and in exactly this spot.
   • yellow the letter is in the word, but in a different spot.
   • grey the letter is not in the word.

   In the example, the word is GARDEN and you guessed CANDID. A and the first D are green: right letter, right spot. N is yellow: it is in GARDEN, but not in the 3rd spot. C, I and the last D are grey: GARDEN has no C or I, and only one D.

4. The hard rule

   Every green letter must stay in its spot in your next guess, and every yellow letter must be used somewhere in it. If it doesn’t, you’ll see a message like “Hard rule: the 2nd letter must stay A.” That guess doesn’t count, so you don’t lose a try.

5. The prize

   The first player with a linked Minecraft account to solve today’s word wins the daily prize. There is one winner a day. Staff pay the prize in game after they check it.

6. No linked account?

   You can still play, but a win doesn’t count. The game will tell you, and you can try again on your real account before someone else gets it. How to link your account

7. When you see the word

   If you solve it, right away. If you don’t, once today’s prize has been won, or tomorrow.

8. Why the LAUNCH button?

   Each game opens from a one-time link made just for your account, so nobody can borrow yours.
